Plastic Tales

AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL SCIENCE FICTION I use autobiographical themes and autobiographical images stolen from my own memory. It is what I know
best and what I can talk about, because itís what I have experienced. The spaces of my infancy or of my house, spaces I know, standing as nostalgia, fascination and violence. I use myself as a human test for an exploration of the human being. I start from the autobiographical and go into the fictional, from the single object to exploitation of mass culture and the work became almost anthropological: human phenomena that are interesting as they exist.
The images are produced through the perception of a ghost or the perception of one single organ and humans are no longer a coherent unit. The intimate space is confused with the theatrical scene as the casual with the staged. Images come from a reactivation of a trauma or from unreal fantasies, but in both case we desire to know what will happen. We are witnesses of the story and not of fact that it is occurring, the events are faded but the memory of an image is more powerful than the image itself. What is offered to the spectators is an anti Cartier Bresson spontaneity, an invitation-intrusion in a parallel, barely alive and grotesque universe.
